All were chopped in the 1960s, starting in 1962.

Don't know if this is definative, but the parts diagram says no:

I think the two-panel windshield is a later phase than what Atlas has done.  Somebody did a kitbash to make a later phase with the split windshield a few years ago, possibly Ron Bearden.  It might be as simple as replacing the cab front with one from an Atlas U23 or Kato U30.  I think both of those parts are readily available.

Me neither.

I want to give them my money (not literally, since no one takes cash for preordering) and no one is taking it.  That's gotta be a first.  Normally stores will throw even a hint of something up for reserve.  Weird that no one is taking reservations on something that's even listed right in the catalog.

Is anyone else surprised they're not doing more with the 2-bay offset side hopper? I'm surprised they haven't followed up with a rib-side car to match (non-fishbelly variety) but they don't seem to be doing much with the offset side, like more than 2 road numbers a release and the odd 3-pack so one can build a fleet.
