N scale Jewel Box shelving

I'm trying to get my train room organized - here's some shelving that my wife "harvested" from her old job (they were throwing this away):

This works great for the "standard" jewel boxes. I'll need something for the locos and larger jewel boxes - anyone know of some decent shelving that would work well in this application?

I'll probably ending making my own shelving for this purpose, but just in case there's an easy and affordable solution around the corner I thought I'd ask.

I built a chest of drawers set-up with lots of shallow drawers that has dividers for rows of cars and lokies.  I'll snap a photo.

Set of Flat file cabinets.  Works really well with a sheet of foam in each drawer.  It's an expensive option, but I picked some up when an engineering office archived to digital and cleared out the paper copies.

Hehe, that's what the cars in the photo above came out of. Some of them have been in that footlocker since 1977.

I put mine in the emptied kitty litter containers. Works great, I can stack them and it's covered up to keep dust out,

I've got a couple of plastic file drawers that I use...  Once the yard is rebuilt and the staging is functional, the jewel boxes will be cast evermore into the drawers, devoid of their freight cars...

A generic bookcase will work.  I had two that were nine inches deep, which easily held the large boxes.  Those are now surplus with the new larger built-in floor-to-ceiling bookcase in the basement.  Just have to stain and varnish next week before loading it up.
