Got 3 senior moment photos.  Don't remember where I took these.  Know it's the WM, probably West Virginia.  Lee, anyone else know?

Last week SD80MACs were discussed, so here's NS7205 at Cove, PA days before being painted black.

Here are some more from the CRHS board meeting trip. These are all NS at Lewistown PA. I have something even more fun for next week, but those have to wait.

I believe this is NS 591 heading west for more coal. It was blowing through town while someone (I'm guessing an Amtrak employee) ignores the train and blows snow off the passenger platform.

A closeup shot of the power, a standard cab EMD SD70

A few minutes later, an eastbound grain train with a UP unit rolled through town kicking up a cloud of snow.

Good stuff there Ed.  Trains just sent me a new video.  NS Middle Division.  It's one I'll keep.  Enough of Big Blue to keep you happy plus some BNSF, UP and CN mixed in.  Good video.

Next time we hook up, I'll let you borrow it.

Nice!

It was a good time, and despite being cold, the snow made for some interesting shooting.

Bob,
Those shots are all from Maryland Junction, where the WM had a modest engine facility.  Looks to be mid to late '70's after much of the line was downgraded.  I got to take a guided tour through there in 1989 during a WMRHS convention, just a few years after Chessie the Knife shut it down.  It was eerie...  Stuff like calendars still hanging on the walls, tools laying around.  Knobmount Yard had been taken out of service, too.  This was about a year or so after the last train ascended Black Fork Grade, but the tracks hadn't been removed yet.  There were two long tracks where hundreds of cabooses were stored.  WM, C&O, B&O wagontops, the whole schlemiel.  I know I shot a million rolls of film, but I've never been able to figure out what happened to them.

Probably for the best...  It would be like looking at photos of a deceased beloved aunt.
