If I had a time machine I wouldn't be in Alex, VA, I'd be in Hagerstown, MD or Harrisburg, PA.

I'd be in Charlottesville VA, but Alexandria would be just fine. Just About anywhere in the 60's 70's actually. :D

Anyway, here is a sampling of the Summers railfanning.

A southbound CSX train past the Ashland VA station.

Some Tunnel motors shot from the interstate in Limon Colorado.

Between Limon and Denver we saw this UP freight from I-70.

A UP local at Dotsero CO, once again shot from the interstate.

Back east. Harpers Ferry.

The local heads to Winchester.

The 4:43pm Amtrak rolls into Williamsburg VA

Bob, did they have a PV convention in D.C. that allowed you to catch those going home? I don't remember hearing about one myself. I caught a Southern passenger car with Southern tail marker on the rear of P098, the Silver Meteor, today in Folkston, GA.
Check out my website (listed under the web tag) for railfanning pictures from 32 states, D.C., and Ontario. Current locomotive count: 5772!

Someone mentioned on another forum that there was a private car convention and they were probably going to it.  The conductor told me that they were picking up a private party in White Surphur Springs going to Chicago.
