Didn't get a chance to do any railfanning the past week so I'll post a couple old ones of PC GG1's since Kato is doing them.

Went out fanning with a couple friends I haven't seen in almost a year. Found some ex B&M and MKT ballast cars, some from the steam era. Also caught an SD60I, a couple NS GEs, and an ex Conrail GP40.

Tom Mann Project?

One from my recent trip to AZ and NM. This is a set of Copper Basin GP39-2's running around their train at the dumper in Hayden, AZ. Interesting operation, but too darn hot for my liking!

I didn't get a chance to do a whole lot of railfanning on my Minnesota trip, but while traveling from Willmar to Kansas City, I saw this at the side of the road in Heron Lake at the Cargill Elevator:

Hit the breaks for the approaching u-turn so hard the wife woke up from her sleep thinking we blew a tire. :)

Some Mann projects

Talk about durable paint:

Notice the roadname above.  I didn't know there was still Milwaukee Road stuff out there.

There are more then several still out there. I have handled a couple of covered hoppers, all with ITLX reporting marks and in grain service.

Here's what the Boston Railway Terminal Alco S4 looked like when I was in Boston this month.

Check out my website (listed under the web tag) for railfanning pictures from 32 states, D.C., and Ontario. Current locomotive count: 5772!

That poor thing. At least Alan (the owner) capped the stack, albeit with a safety barrel.

I've seen a bunch of old ex-MILW cars out there.
