Well it looks like my railfanning here in Boston might have dried up. For some reason, stupid Enterprise closed up shop where my rental was early today. When I made the reservations, it said open until 4PM. My train was late and I called the number on the reservations at 2:45 and the voicemail said the location was closed. >

Another reason I don't like Boston ad the Yankees rule! ;D I guess my only hope to to take the Silver Line by my hotel back to South Station and maybe hop a MBTA Worcester-bound train in the morning (if they go tht way in the morning) and hope the MBTA police are tolerant of railfans on the platforms.

It was a bad day for Amtrak travel today on the NEC! When we arrived in Baltimore, we were informed that we would be delayed indefinitly because a trespasser was struck and killed north of us and an NS freight ws sitting on the line too. About 10 minutes later, we started to move again. I never saw the accident scene, but there were actually 3 NS coal trains (2 loaded and 1 empty) sitting between Baltimore and Perryville holding us up. :

Then we sat outside the tunnel to NYC because the tunnel was down to 1 track for maintennce and the NYC dispatcher said he was sending 3 trains out of NYC and into Jersey before we could continue. 3 trains turned into 6 and another 25 minutes before we got moving again. It was slow once again over the other side of Penn Station in NYC for track maintenance. The first DC - Boston Regional, P160, which was supposed to arrive in Boston at 1:08PM ended up geting us there at 2:40PM. :'( Hopefully I'll have better luck on Friday riding an Acela Express back so I can make it time for my wife's doctors appointment and another sonogram. :-\
