Received mail today posting this train in Philly Today.  This is definitely a Tom Mann project.

That's one of the ex B&M GP40-2s orginally B&M 308. There's an even better one in Georgia with most of the B&M Lettering and some blue paint showing through.

Sigh! She must have been hidden deep in the yard when I drove through Philadelphia around 3:45PM after taking pictures of the West Chester Railroad and heading to my parent's house. There was nothing out and about in Philly.  :'(
Check out my website (listed under the web tag) for railfanning pictures from 32 states, D.C., and Ontario. Current locomotive count: 5772!

CP will run some junky-looking equipment in the east. One never knows what will come down the high line from day to day or even what time of the day. Likewise across the river on the old B&O line that goes past the Art Museum.

Now if you take the Paoli train, on the way through W Phila near the old Parkside/52nd St yard, Amtrak (I guess) has paved a large parcel. Rail and ties are there and it seems that every couple weeks crews are building really long turnouts on the paving, then they are lifted to cars for movement wherever. Some years back, when Amtrak was still running express service, including perishables, this parcel was used as a team track for emptying the cars.

Closer to 30th St, along the suburban lines just west of the station, there's a lot of activity going on with constructing service buildings. Don't know if it's Amtrak or SEPTA. No signs like with highway projects.

That's probably one of the messiest units CP owns. Here it is back in April:

If anyone wants to replicate it as a model, you could run them in pairs!
