Here's the empties returning to Millville, crossing the Winchester Branch bridge (1896) at Harpers Ferry.




and another day going over the wood trestle at Harpers Ferry.


And the venerable WM Stone Train circa 1985 or so crossing the beltway in daylight.  Nice assortment of paint schemes...

Does anyone make those CSX hoppers in N?  Anything even close.  Although I Model transition era I have a few CSX locos and would like to do a small stone train for a change of pace.

1) Check out the pilot.  Was a plow removed creating the huge gap above the rails?  Kinda reminds me of the open pilots on early N scale locomotives;
