They were replaceing rail on the Pope's Creek Branch last week.  Work equipment on the short siding at LaPlata:





And for you locals who haven't been to St Denis for awhile.  MARC repainted the shelters (including the trash cans).  Looks like they found a few gallons of unused Penn Central green.

Thanks to Rick Ernst, I got to scope around the Brooklyn Yard Roundhouse in Portland... and lookey what I found...







And inside the roundhouse, I got to peek through the window to catch a glimpse of this familiar face...



And I couldn't get a very good shot, but the Nickel Plate PA is in there, too...


I've got a few more, but I don't want you all to be drooling all over your keyboards....

just had to order a new keyboard...

mmm... nice... a great big thank you and the next Vitamin Y is on me.

The PA in the back has had it's ups and downs.  But the owner is a family friend for a long time.  Here is when i first met Doyle McCormick (although i dont remember it) in Los Angeles back in the day.  Pimpin' the NBA style shorts and walking with my younger brother ) pardon my pasty white legs ;D)



and keeping with the theme of Fallen Flags (and proving there is a prototype for everything)... here is the elusive double headed Berk, rarely seen in the wild.
