After setting on the shelf for nearly two years my Athearn N Scale Challenger is finally chugging away on the nearly famous “No Name RR.” This is entirely thanks to Lee (WM3795), the incredibly brilliant, celebrated, fantastic, phenomenal, unstoppable, irrepressible genius of the Northeast. He single handily with great personal sacrifice and no thought to personal safety resurrected my Tsunami brained Challenger. If I had Lee’s picture it would be on my refrigerator!
Now, however, it is up to little old me, the left brained DocGeoff to get all the important CV’s in play.
Can any Tsunami TSU-750 “Heavy Steam” Challenger equipped experts lend a hand setting a few CV’s? I did print the manual and the Quick Start Guide and am reading all nearly 100 pages and am now overwhelmed by all that this little jewel can do. Any suggestions with;
CV2 - Start Voltage
CV3- Acceleration rate
CV4 - Braking rate
CV115- Exhaust Chaff rate
CV 131 - Exhaust Volume
????
I run this beauty in 128 speed steps. It is great seeing this engine run after all the problems encountered when I had the Tsunami installed originally. It took several months and two tries for the installer to get it right and it never was. Having the engine run after all this time thanks to Lee’s wondrous ability makes me almost forget all the difficulties.
