And the churches would benefit from being a tad oversize, since most of the N scale kits available are dreadfully undersized!

Actually even though it is 1:150 scale, it fits perfectly right in with an North American town. 

I have the white and red church on order now, and the Bank I have converted into to a Police station.  Tomix/TomyTec, GreenMax and a few others make some really good building that can easily past for a building here in the Western world.

Tomix also makes some really nice urban apt buildings that I have on order and after some kitbashing will really look nice.

Here is that Tomix bank after a few modification, the person who this belongs to left it as a bank based in Montreal.

Good price but I don't use Paypal.  Why sell stuff if you can only use Paypal?

Well, I suppose because there are enough of us that do use PayPal to make it worthwhile.

Maybe you could hook up with a friend who has an account to get stuff for you.

I've had paypal since day 1 with never an issue. I have heard the stories though. Kinda odd how with people and them they are one extreme or the other.

Weren't they originally called X.com? Or maybe they bought X.com early on? I can't remember, but that's when I started using them.

I've had various problems with Paypal in 10 years. The worst was when they froze my account for a month for no apparent reason, then mysteriously (after I threatened legal action) restored my account - no explanation, no apology.

Eventually Ebay bought Paypal, it seems to be better since then.

I still have a paypal, but I use it only as a last resort as the fees can become rather usurious.

The fees on receiving PayPal cash are more reasonable than credit cards directly when you have the full account, and they also process credit cards and e-checks.  I've never had an issue, and there are more protections in place since eBay acquired it.  It's also far less of a hassle doing e-commerce via PayPal than via credit cards directly.

Regarding the auctions - I accept only PayPal on my auctions.  While there are a number of people who do not like or use PayPal, there are enough that do where it isn't an issue.

I only take PayPal too - no problems as a seller.

The only problem I ever had with PayPal has been a couple of occassions when using the PayPal Mastercard. If it has to be swiped twice (or thrice for that matter) when there is a communications problem, it is possible to log more than one transaction. While banks instantly detect these duplicate transactions and delete the first one, PayPal does not - instead taking up to a week to unfreeze the cash in your account. I had this happen once - where a transaction was denied because the store clerk (actually at the Model RR Shop in Piscataway) swiped the card a couple of times - "virtually depleting" my balance and locking my account.

PayPal is great, but it is does not operate with the rules and technology of a bank.

I have an upgraded personal account for auctions and the ease of passing cash back and forth worldwide.  ESM has it's own business account to handle the e-commerce direct sales on the website.  Works wonders, especially with foreign sales and big-ticket items.
