USATC S160 Loco Info

I have been interested in this loco for some time and was wondering if anyone knew what would be a good starting point to build one.

Looks like a Bachmann Connie would be a good place to start.  The proportions look about right.  The spoked tender wheels will be a bit of a challenge, but perhaps one of the European suppliers has something...

I have an Atlas USRA 0-8-0 that had the MT 2-8-0 conversion done on it that I picked up on ebay and that had some similarities. What about the Walthers 0-8-0?

There is not even a version of it in HO, though someone has made a nice attempt

I have to go by the office and will check our Loco builder's guide for drawings.  If we have them, I'll scan and post.  Nothing in any of the magazines so far.

I also scored an old Fleischmann 2-10-0 German Loco...now I can get started on my dream projet...the Southern Pacific 4-10-2.  I'll power the tender as that chassis has free rolling drivers.  I may even work up a Zombie head end car to assist pulling the 50 SP overnight cars I have underway!  Hopefully I'll have something to pull at the Trainfest in Milwaukee this year.
