Dumb question, but since I have never owned an airbrush I have to ask... I managed to secure 2 Paasche VL airbrushes and a French-made silent air compressor with reserve tank in a barter with an artist, for grant writing services. One of the airbrushes was disassembled and parts were stored in a jar of cleaner where parts like the needle, air cap body, and jar caps and fittings accrued a layer of rust on them. I know some of the body parts are plated, but can I just clean the rust off with a Dremel and wire brush, or even steel wool? I'm especially 'concerned' about doing this to the needle, for fear it might effect the airbrush's spray accuracy. Also, anyone know where to get jar seals or how to make home-made ones? Many of the seals on the spare jars look like they're dry rotting and I think I should replace them.
Thanks for your input.
