Downtown Spur in a Spare Bedroom

Hey, I am in the works of planning an N scale layout in a spare bedroom. It's the CSX downtown spur in Miami, Flordia. I still have a good bit of work to do, planning and construction wise. Here is the room template.

The trackplan was done in MS paint. It's not to scale, but it gives you the main layout of the room. I will be using Atlas Code 55 flextrack and #7 turnouts. I plan on scratchbuilding all structures. There will be no roadbed. The benchwork will be hollow core doors when near the walls, and framework with 1x4s under 1/2 A/C plywood when the layout isn't near walls. A sub roadbed will be 1" foam insulation board.

I have asked the famous Lance Mindheim to help me with the layout. That's all for now, there won't be much progress for a while, so be paitent.

I understand it's an interesting location to model, but I think people could be more creative modeling something that is not going to be done to death...
