Recieved my Athearn Flxible Busses from Klein's,two Utah Parks, one Fred Harvey,one Consolidated Bus Lines. First off let me say Holy *@*ap ,the rear view mirror's on the model are ultra fine. The entire bus nicely done. As a kid my family made several trips to Zion,Bryce Canyon, National Parks, also Grand Canyon North Rim. To get to Zion you drove through the town of Cedar City, Utah where the Union Pacific branch from Lund ,Utah terminated at a station that is still there, no longer used for trains. There Utah Parks Company busses met the seasional trains that ran from the early Summer to mid Fall. That is where I first saw these UP colored Flixible busses, parked in front of that depot, then I also viewed them in the parks where they unloaded in front of the lodges. I was already familiar with Flxible busses as our local interstate company "Lewis Brothers Stages" were running them ,painted Blue & White similar to the consolidated scheme I purchased ,Lewis Bros. still exists running mostly Gambler's Special busses to Nevada. Also Trailways in the intermountain west was usuing them ,painted in a red & white scheme. I couldn't resist getting a Fred Harvey one although I never saw them I felt a connection to the Grand Canyon.
