Eastern Seaboard Models' Pennsy G26 is in the house!  Product starts shipping to distributors and dealers around noon PDT tomorrow!  Here is the group shot:

Good thing these look like they'd make nice stunt doubles of the Southern Pacific G70 series of mill gons...placing my order for a couple today along with some ELO.   ;D

Received my 3 today.  Was wondering if they would take my sharper curves with the body mounted trucks - no problems at all.  Went through my turnouts O.K.  They did feel a little light when I first took them out and placed on layout.  Figured so what, they'll get some loads - again no problem with running.  These have got to be one of the best looking cars I"ve ever laid eyes on.  If they are any indication of what ESM can do, I can't wait to see what they do next.  Of course, as a certified PRR nut, I hope for more PRR prototype cars.

I hate to steal sales from anyone, but the Athearn mill gon is the G70-9, and comes in SP paint - http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATH11324

 :P :P :P  Paint aside, the Athearn model more closely matches the SP prototype (WP too) than the ESM model. I'm sure if those ribs on the ESM model extended all the way down to the bottom of the side sill, Pennsy, PC & Conrail fans would be crying for a more representative model.

Isn't the Athern model based on a AT&SF model?  Know I read that somewhere.
