I kinda figured that Jason would follow up with the CPR like he did in HO..... The coach isn't a proper match for the 2200 series;



Here's the Gooderham resin 2200 I built....



The windows are wrong - eight on the 2200 and nine on the CN coah base he's using and the smaller washroom windows are wrong too; that said; I will be lining up for a few to fill out the fleet 'cause building a dozen or so resin shell 2200's will take me way too long and cost way, way too many brain cells..... ;D

And in their "telegraph" newsletter they addressed the "hack" that is causing some virus checkers to go nuts (mine too). Here's what they said..

Rapido Web Site Woes

Well, I guess it happens to most web site owners eventually. Our web site was hacked last month by an automated hacker program and nasty code was added to some of the pages on our site. This caused some visitors to the site to get a virus warning. We've cleaned up the site but it has been quite a nightmare, especially as the hacker got in just before I sent the last Telegraph.

We've removed all of the javascript from the site that would allow the hackers to get in again (that's why the funky banner ads and the search feature are gone). As Bill redesigns the site, he's installing safeguards to ensure that the site is hack-proof in future. Thanks everyone for your patience and I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Whether you like Rapido's products or not; and for many that's soon to be determined, you have to admire their communications efforts - they send out regular updates; when stuff goes wrong they fess up ( as an example they are brining out the first 3 cars this week but are holding back the CNR 1954 duplex sleepers because the car name got shifted to the right by 1/4 inch) and the are always pushing the enevelope of technology - both in their products and their wefforts to talk with the consumer.... I think a lot of mfg's could take a page from their playbook.

Looking forward to the dayniter coach, though strange they chose not to do an initial release for Via. Not complaining, allows Mr Wallet a longer break... he will be rather ragged after the first two body styles

Thought that would pique your interest.... hard colour to get "just right"... let's see how they do; a future sleeper release would be a "must" for my summer "Canadian/Dominion".... they always had foreign road sleepers and that is a sharp looking livery.

Prolly a hint on the light side of N&W red but much better than most renditions.

Colour looks very good - screen variations notwithstanding; they have got the hue right.... might just have to put one of them on the list when the single deck sleepers start getting announced.... would look "yabba dabba doo" in a sea of CPR tuscan and gold; or with CPR stainless and tuscan eh what ?

Our club is waiting for the CP Canadian in HO so we can finally have the transcon streamliner running through Sudbury. And just by the way, Sudbury is where it split into Toronto and Montreal sections so that'll make things quite interesting on the layout when we actually get to operating the Canadian. Blocks the mainlines and steals a couple yard switchers to perform the switching operation.

The problem is, we now need to get the station, office building platforms and other structures done so the train looks proper stopping at Sudbury station. We're a little behind on getting structures built for the layout, since everything pretty much has to be scratchbuilt.
