Hey all...

Thought I would share my T6 fresh out of paint for your critique I think it came out awesome except for I just realized I am missing the air horn  >:(.

The only thing I can say i don't like is Microscales decals are not quite correct he PENNSYLVANIA is a bit to big but it not to noticeable.

This is a little out of era but I figured what the heck the price was right a new coat of paint new gears and she's back better than ever.

I did not want to ask a question in this thread but anyone have an extra air horn they would like to sell/trade/barter for I believe I need a two chime ???

Thanks for looking this is the only forum I would post pics like this you are guys are an honest bunch and down to earth.

The Microscale are also a mite too yellow for me, but it really looks good. Wish I had a spare airhorn to send you. I have been known to put some brass rod in my Dremel and use jeweler's files to make my own, though. Usually single chime though.

Nice model! Looks like it belongs in an Al Stauffer book.

Tom it's one of Ron Beardens kits sold by GHQ and fitted to an Arnold S2

Yup Tom it is an Arnold S2 with GHQ conversion the casting is okay I puttied up a few things here and there and put a little bit thicker coat of paint and that seemed to do the trick.

And thanks guys this is my first diesel paint and my first very light weathering job I used a grey and black Pan pastel to to highlight things up a bit.
speaking of Pan pastels anyone else use them?? I think they work great they seem to stick better than regular pastels and cover better.

Ed ,I will get a pic tonight when I get home I am at work now I know I should have posted one last night but just was not thinking.
And if worse comes to worse I will take 3rdrail's idea thankyou by the way and make one heck I make everything else  ;D
And last but noit least I agree with ya 3rdrail they are a bit yellow to start but after a flat coat I think it brings them into a tollerable shade I just wish they would do a few more sets.

I used Accupaint Brunswick Green I got from Walters it looks like they are out it right now unfortunatly.

I think N&W (the forum member) might have a bone to pick with you over desecrating something he finds near and dear! I am interested in the decal sheet, but I still have to get back to you about the S2 gearsets. I ended up heading out to dinner at a local establishment and partook a little much of the fermented beverage and steamed shrimp. When I got home the only thing I was able todo was poke around with my voltmeter on some decoders before hitting the sack. I have time tonight so I'll shoot you a PM later this evening!

Nah, since N&W didn't use any switchers on the Pokey (they used mainly GP9s and RS11s in Williamson) in the time frame I model I have no interest in switchers.

At least he left the N&W louvered boxes on the side of the hood. ;D

Sorry should I go back to my corner and hide ;D  ;)

I know us darn SPF'S were every where screwin up perfectly good equiptment with our DGLE ,Tuscan and stuff ;D

And I am not a rivet counter if it says PENNSYLVANIA and is a resonable representation I'm there.As you would be able tell if you saw my roster of over 130 prr locos  ;D

When the T-6's were first delivered, they were used in pairs (as I recall cab-to-cab) VERY briefly in the yards(both east and west yards are on grades with the crest just west of the old passenger station location) at Bluefield. Needless to say, they were quickly banished to flatter portions of the N&W.
