I waited a long time before writing the article because I wanted to make sure the linkage would hold up over time and not spontaneously burst into flames or something unforseen... lol.
What would be cool is if a manufacturer offered something that was an easy, plug-and-play mechanism that manually routed power when the points are thrown, is close-to scale, and wasn't too expensive.
Until that day, we'll have to cobble stuff up ourselves.
