    This is wonderful news. My two Puget Summit models ride way too high and they required lots of weight to track good, but hey that was all we had way back when. Now if Walthers would release their Ribside MLW bay window caboose in N, or maybe FV could do one. then again perhapse  I will get around to adding ribs to the sides of my Con Cor Bay Window Milwaukee Caboose which I have threatened to do for several years . Don't tell anyone, but the mod-u-trak guys tied Matt from FVM up and threatened to file down all his metal wheelsets if he didn't produce these MILW rib-side boxcars. So if you want something from FVM, you now know what you need to do.

Oh yeah, I agree... MILW rib-side caboose would be nice!

if a rib side caboose comes out, i'm selling the PRR power that isn't prototypical for MILW.  yes, i'm serious. 

of course the fuel tanks will be too long of the SD's, but screw it.

The JnJ rib side caboose is a pretty nice kit. They go in and out of stock, so you have to keep checking. It is rather amazing that the JnJ shell is pretty accurate for the 1939-41 cars while the Overland brass versions are a combination of various phases. The Overland models are nice and have accurate trucks, but it has the bay window of the 1946 and 1951 phases, the roof of the 1949 and 1951 phases (but lacks the indented letterboard for this roof), and it lacks the rivets of the 1951 phases (around the ends, bays, and windows). I don't think that it is accurate for any of the versions. I am not a rivet counter,  but you would think that they would have settled on one of the versions. The appear on eBay from time to time and I have bought them for a low of $85 (a steal) to $150.  I continue to wait for the Milwaukee Road transfer cabooses from Fox Valley (and a nice FM H10-44 switcher!).

The other option for a rib side caboose is from Marty Coil. (http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/showphoto.php/photo/43884)
These are not 100% accurate but are really nice with the correct windows and bays and a good paint job. I have seen these go for $30-$50 on eBay and have one of these on my roster.

Seriously, I'll bet an awful lot of are glad you did lobby the Rib Side Boxcar. Now if you could just put an idea for a PS4427CD Hi-Side Grain hopper in his ear........
