Since it was an unusual warm Sunday and Annapolis Junction was mentioned this past week, I decided to drive over an see what was going on there.

Only action were these units with autoracks waiting to go either South or North:

Lost of autoracks, covered hoppers and a few boxcars in the yard:

I'll post somemore on Thursday.

Great idea Bob.  Where did you park/walk?  Is security an issue at the yard?

Tom

There's a public road running along the tracks.  Stayed off their property and there is a decent pulloff right along the tracks.  Did have a CSX employee park behind me but he was friendly and didn't hastle me.  I did have a nasty fall in the mud near there.  Was more worried about my camera than myself.  Must have scraped 2 inches of mud off my hands.  I'm gonna be hurting in the morning.

Here's the CSX truck which parked right behind me.

Those engines pulled off and I beat him to Laurel station.  The train stopped for some reason right in front of the station.  I'll post those on Thursday also.
