General magazines like Time or The Atlantic have their printed version (long form articles, photos), their website (timely info) and blogs (rumors and raw random data).

Costs.

Besides, they have all these forums to give us rumors and raw data, why spend the money to do another one.

Never in the course of human events have so few mistakenly believed to speak for so many. ;D

I did miss the bus in my Trainboard report.  Reflecting on the show a week later, it was not much of a train show.  I had other business there that was fairly successful s it was not a wasted trip.  I didn't go back to the show on Friday but went to Greyland Station and then railfanning instead.  It was great fun.  Better than the show.

Trainfest in Milwaukee should be an excellent train show.  Many more manufacturers are planning on attending.
I will not go because of Trains 2008 in Vancouver.  It is an excellent show celebrating it's 26th year.  4 days worth of railroad fun.   http://www.bctrains.org/
