John - are those units sound-equipped?   ;D  I bet that move rattled a few windows in the trackside house.  Cheers,

Unfortunately for me (or fortunately for my wallet, depending on how you look at it) the fourteen N scale Santa Fe 'bookend' yellow/blue freight units are not sound-equipped.   They all are the older pre-DCC Atlas/Kato units (the mainline 10 units) or mid-1990's Atlas Classic GP7s (the four Geeps on the siding).   

Took a while to tune them all, but the ten Atlas/Kato units all now run at basically the same speed and thus can be consisted together - they have been run as such on layouts and NTrak shows.

For what it's worth, when running all fourteen at the same time at 6 volts, my ampmeter on my MRC 9500 power pack shows a draw of 1.5 amps.

The Athearn N scale Santa Fe FP45's just arrived today.

Here's four photos.  Bottom line:  looks great, runs great.  Next up will be weathering, painting the
trucks to get shadows and depth, paint the frame black so it cannot be seen.
