The transition era modelers are not only getting three new buses, but it looks like a couple of all new automobiles are also in the works.  Here is what I found on Walthers new products page for October:

I also checked out Classic Metal Works to see if they had any information listed, and I could not find anything for the 1953 Ford wagon or the 1956 Dodge.  They do show a CAD drawing for the 1950 Dodge Meadowbrook that was announced awhile back.

The Meadowbrook has already been released. I don;t think they update their website that often. All of those cars will be most welcome. The first of the tanker trucks should be here soon too.

Sorry! Surf''s not UP. The 1953 Ford Squire wagon introduced the use of Dinock  simulated wood panneling replacing real wood. Oh well. I wish they were doing the 1956 wagon as thats what we had as a 2nd family car when i was a kid. Other car was a plain Jane black two door 1949 Chev.                                                                                                                                                   Nate Goodman (Nato).

Daniel,I seriously doubt GM is gonna swallow up anybody,at the rate they are closing plants there won't be any GM left to even chew let alone swallow another company.

GM swallowing up Chrysler would be the Penn Central of the auto-industry. 2 Money losers merging doesn't create a moneymaker.

But maybe GM might reconsider their size rule on toys/models.

Like most
shotgun weddings ongoing happiness is seldom guaranteed.  Chrysler is owned by an investment group and they really want to cut and run.  GM is likely to become an unwilling partner rather than a white knight. 
As a GM (Saturn) and Chrysler owner I'm hoping for the best, but in car shopping this year I was appalled at the build quality and repair records/forecast for Chrysler.  I really liked my plastic-fantastic 'K' car back when and TiVoPrincess may never let go of her LeBaron but the current Chryslers looked cheap and as if they were purposely designed that way...
