My semi-freelance railway just needed new engines for the 21. century. SD9s and and other handed down SP engines would not be sufficient if the NWP would really be still around. So I purchased a few BNSF SD70MAC and re-lettered them as a money tide company would do.

When another 5 SD70MAC were bought, the management decided to break the the NWP habit of just re-letter them.
So I was put in charge to modernize the NWP paint scheme with some familiar touch. Black, silver and orange and some kind of Black Window scheme. Also the NWP lettering on the long hood should have some references of the old one with the writing inside the huge NWP letters. This is what I came up with after numerous paint scheme coloring.

The first two are now reassembled after going through the paint booth.
