I hope the deal is not each pair $5.50 shipping. It really would be nice if Athern would offer parts in N-scale on their web site even if it is as limited as Kato.
How about Walthers with its LifeLike line? Did anybody ask for parts.
LifeLike was great and usually send it for free if it fit inside a regular envelope, like glass pieces for the E units.

Hmmm..part number does not show up on the Horizon website. I'll have to call my sales rep. Could be that for the time being this would be a product only available directly from Athearn. I hope not but then I also understand the economics of a $3.98 part.

Walthers has changed their parts policy. Shells are stocked, but only decorated ones. They stock shells from DOA units that have been returned. Shells are $25 each.

Sorry to say I wasn't happy with the performance of the Athearn trucks on the Bombadier cars. Rather thought they ran like a Bachmann.
