I would LOVE to do a Green Sasquatchewan parady car. Bet that would screw PWRS into the roof!

Lou, thanks for the hearty laugh.

Yeah...why can't someone be creative and make a PLASTIC PELLETS cylindrical hopper? Like the paint jobs would be difficult....grey. Twenty or more reporting marks you could use on them and make a dozen numbers of each. It would be a license to print Twenty-dollar bills. ::) As Homer Simpson would say "Duh-oh!"

Somebody smart is!

The Atlas car is welcome but to tag onto Daniel's argument, it would be nice if, since differing grain car body styles are so needed by western modelers, there were at least a couple varieties of pellet cars for eastern modelers. It is, in essence, the grain hopper of the east.

The question remains to be answered whether "they" will bother to capture the many shades of grey there are though.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

sorry my bad, I was unclear, to make a parody car would be funny - but why you would like to screw PWRS to the roof is beyond my understanding. you are in the similar business, you serve model train enthusiasts with special products, right ? but talking bad about another company in the same field in public (forum, train show) shows some lack of business ethics in my opinion ! that was my point...

No prob Steve. What I meant was we would all be laughing at the parady. PWRS, with all of the current brew-ha-ha, would launch themselves into orbit without bothering to open the roof first... thus hitting the roof (screw into the roof. USA slang.). There was no ill towards PWRS.

With my vivid / highly warped imagination, I could just envision the look on the faces of serious people on seeing a Green Sasquatchewan car.

Frankly, I just don't understand the motivation of Sask. to do this...  I am sure they could care less about the rivet counters, why wouldn't they want lots of manufacturers doing the car?

I don't take issue with the idea of licensing - nor with the idea of asking for part of the $$$. I bet it's more trouble than it's worth, but if you're so inclined, it's your call.

But "exclusivity" - this is really ridiculous.  Imagine, say, Model Power got the exclusive for this car and started slamming it on their 40 year old ACF covered hopper tooling. Do you REALLY think most trademark owners would care? And then there would NEVER be an accurate model made.
