I had a chance to take a mini roadtrip last week. Here is a VRS GP38-2 starting its day in Bellows Falls, Vermont on Feb. 18.

Had some interesting visitors to the area in the last few weeks. First is an ex PC 65'Gon still with the noodle and a fair amount of green

The earlier this week a rail train was parked in Winder with the first ever (that I know of) Dark Future caboose.

NOT too mention, a Slug Mother set with the new Boxcar logo.

This wild 1977 shot of Milwaukee showed up on RailPic today:

For some reason looks like a model to me.  Like a scene from a shelf layout.  The bridge is a bit too close to the foreground track, with the backdrop immediately behind it.  The ground cover looks pretty realistic, though not much variance in color.  And the ballast is too clean and tidy.  :)

On the turntable tracks, the second from the left at the top, what am I seeing there?

Was finally able to find a photo from an old postcard of the PRR passenger station in my hometown of Shippesburg, PA.  The tower located on the roof was gone when I was growing up but the rest looked the same.

No at 12 o'clock on the turntable, it looks like an SD7/9 but with a different style cab.

Also an SD24.  Check out the torpodo tubes on the roof.

MILW didn't have SD24s so we're not on the same loco.

Okay, see the yellow cage on the turntable?   Not the loco right behind that, but the next one to the right.

Duh.   Don't know how I totally forgot about those.  Not that I knew about the 555 but I should have looked at the conversions before asking.

Thanks,

Jason

Spotted new train sets for WMATA sitting at Greenbelt rail yard.  The new 7000 series are still in the wrappers but it was the new street cars for the H Street-Benning Rd line that caught my eye.  When I did remember my camera it was overcast so the color didn't pop like it had in the sunlight which had caught my eye on Wednesday.
