Title: Digitrax Zephyr Jump ports = super frickin (am i allowed to say that?) cool
Post by: asciibaron on June 05, 2008, 08:30:31 AM
so I was pondering the idea of the Jump Ports and realized how badass an idea they are...

a very simple throttle can be made using 3 components; a 9v battery, a 10K linear pot, and a DPDT switch in a small enclosure.  this is perfect for running a local or a yard job with dedicated power.  i'm going to build up 2 of these this weekend and see how they work.  if all goes well, it makes for a very affordable no frills hand held throttle - perfect for a 7 year old and Ed K.
