Hi, I've got a few IM 1937 AAR boxcars that have the wrong kind of doors. I'm trying to figure out what my best options are for sourcing replacement 6' 7-panel superior doors. I know they are available on some MTL cars (I have one), and I do believe some IM cars also featured these doors, but before I go hunting those down I'm wondering if anyone knows if someone offers just doors of this type (as far as I can tell MTL does not sell these doors as parts).
Of course if anyone also has any they'd part with please PM me.

I thought that MTL sells doors as parts.
If not, you can call them and ask them to sell you some doors. They are very accommodating with parts requests. If they have them in stock, they will sell them to you, and the price is reasonable too.

There are some doors listed on their website but I didn't see a product number for the specific ones I am looking for. Contacting them is indeed an option I am considering (I recently ordered coupler boxes in bulk from them) if other options prove fruitless.

The MTL doors don't really fit the IM car without some modification. Even then, they are wider than the stock IM doors.
Here's a couple attempts to fit the MTL door to a IM box car.

Contact InterMountain directly and ask for 7-panel Superior door parts for the 1937 Boxcar model.

I sent a request to IM and they responded that they do not have the parts, so I'm considering next trying MTL directly. Unless someone here has a stash they are willing to part with.

I've got one that has been separated from its door... When you make the swap, if you can spare a door, it would help a brother out!
All the best,
Lee
