I'm looking at getting three DCC decoders for the new Kato MILW FP/F7s. MBK currently has the version of the Micro that will work with Motorola and Selectrix. But ESU also has a version that is just for DCC.
Is there something I need to know concerning any other differernces between the two?
Thanks,
Jason

The DCC only version is just that, DCC only. The other version supports the other protocols, too. Unless you know you will be using them, the DCC is all most folks really need.

Many European-made decoders are universal, compatible with all 3 digital control systems popular in that part of the world. Like Rick said, assuming that you use DCC, then that one is all you need. But the universal one will work too. Is the universal decoder model more expensive?
