Oh, I don't think Kato worries about beating anyone else - they do what they want

True, but they sure donl;t like being beat to the punch by somebody else.

To confuse matters even more... Volvo Trucks North America is the amalagation of White, Autocar, Mack and GMC...

Wow, now White, Autocar, Mack and GMC are European companies too.  ;D

Other than Mack... they're all gone.  Though I think VTNA licensed Autocar to somebody for use.

I miss the older Autocar trucks with the steel nose. Very classy rigs.

The trucks look good but a bit basic, no markings (a good thing), but no mirrors or antenna either. I think this is the most significant release Kato has done in the last 10 years.

Man what a good time to be a vehicle collector in N scale.

Only if you're a vehicle collector.

At least we have a model which is today. Paint it red and match it with the DI U.S. Express trailer and it is today. Bob.

I'm no fan of the looks of that particular Volvo truck ( think they are UGLY),but there are so many of them around it's almost a requirement for a modern day layout.

I guess we know now why Athearn said no when they were asked if they were planning to do their yard jockey in N.

Look likes my UPS hub now has tractors to move around all those empty trailers from the unload to the load and give those guys in Feeder something to do besides sit on this bums.
