I bought a really cheap light box for taking photos of individual rolling stock and vehicles, since I manage to take quite a few photos for magazine articles and my blog.  I want to get better at "product" photos, so figured a light box might be worth a try.  My set came with 3 lights, so I aimed one from both sides and from the top.

here are my initial results:

That's why I asked.  The photos are a bit fuzzy so I wasn't sure if it was Z or N. The track looked a bit like it might be Z scale. I guess the handrails are bit finer than what you would expect in Z scale, but you never knew nowadays...

HuskerN: the light-box photos (and the models) look good, but are you using a tripod for the camera?

We had a housewarming party this past weekend, which meant I was "allowed" to get all my modeling stuff out of their tubs, and set up my workshop so the basement looked lived in.  For the first time in over ten years I finally have a desk, and plenty of storage to work at (and a TV   :D ).  Not sure what I'm going to do not working at a dining room table anymore!

Another strong weekend of updates, nice work everyone. After my 4 month hiatus rehabbing my office/work space I’m back to modeling again.

Hope I'm this anal when it comes time to build the layout..

Started to work on wrapping up some unfished business.

I have a feeling that you will never build a layout in an unfinished basement room.  :)

Had my parents come for Thanksgiving so all of my projects were moved to one place (my workbench/table) during the house cleanup. Last night at 12:30 there was a very LOUD crash...sounded like a tree fell against the house or something. After a trip around the house (22 degrees last night) and no sign of damage I went back to bed. This morning the SO asked if I had looked at my workroom. I was warned that if I haven't, don't. Seems like my workbench (actually a drafting table) collapsed and EVERYTHING is...well, I don't want to know. Tonight I will brave the workroom and see just how bad the damage really is. I just hope that none of the paint bottles broke...
