I shot a few Kodachrome slides back in the day. I love the colors they produce. Not exactly true to life, but somehow better. Its almost like a Dream of Disney world as opposed to being there if that makes sense.

I think if they do bring it back, they would need to be the some processor as well. In addition, they should include ultra high resolution digital imports of the slide.

I was waiting for someone to mention that song.    Odd choice of a still photo for that Youtube link - Art Garfunkel wasn't working with Paul Simon any more when this song was written and recorded.

I chose this version because it was what was on the record that was spun and broadcast when I first heard it, not because of the photo.  The other version on Youtube was also good, but recorded years later live at Central Park....both Simon and Garfarkel performing together long after their partnership had dissolved.

If they WERE LED bulbs for slide projectors, they might be worth paying extra for.  I don't have much experience with slides, but the microfiche viewer at my previous job used similar bulbs, and they didn't seem to last long.
