Not much for me, but I gotta check out the SOUTHERN #22: https://www.micro-trains.com/index.php?_route_=n-scale/new-releases&product_id=3181
The real one is a survivor from 1903 (originally wood sides I think): http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=3518745
Might be a reasonable stand-in for me.

This month is another goose egg here too. The Southern HW's are popular down here. Now they'll need some more Southern passenger steam.
-
Since when does MT have a SD40-2 in N scale?
Also @Shipsure there is a big typo in the media kit release page. (https://www.micro-trains.com/archives/mediakit/medkit1902.html) The text blurb under the Auto-Train cars is a duplicate of the SD40-2 text.
Now I see it's worse. The SD40-2 and Auto-Train are both labeled as "N" but are "Z".

I may go for the ATSF impact car -- other then that -- nothing to see here - move along

CH Robinson is a great container choice for the present day guys. The Husky Stack weathered pack needs some trash containers to go with it.
-
Think I'll have to pick up the Southern 22.
-
I've ordered the NP obs - Madison.

That 50th anniversary car looks like a great candidate for a massive weathering job. :)
-
Well, I'd buy the WP Automobile car, If it didn't ride so damn high...
( ...and already have too many other cars that need lowering).

Skip it and go straight to weathering a solar eclipse car:

I wonder how many Southern heavyweight cars are planned currently? These are very popular down here in the Southern territory. I know beggars cant be choosers but a perhaps there is enough interest to do a run in Southern Crescent paint in the future

Do you mean the Crescent Limited two tone green that ran from 1929-1939? Probably a good idea for MTL - just needs a Heavy USRA Pacific. :D
-
Thats exactly what I meant. I have Model Power/MRC 4-6-2 that would look good pulling a string of 2 tone green heavyweights.
-
Apparently Pullman made the cars, so might be a natural!
1929 consist all pullman
Ps4 power, Green w/ gold lettering all cars

:) Another Rock Island offering (heavy flat with load) and probably another purchase. Just thinking that it might look good behind my Kato Rock Island F-2s or Atlas Rock Island U-25Bs. I own MTL's recent The Rock gondola with scrap lumber load, hopper with coal load, UP patch of weathered The Rock grain covered hopper, plus other The Rock and Rock Island (CRI&P) freight cars. Glad to see that Rock Island is not forgotten, even though it died in 1980.
-
Rock Island will never be forgotten! ;)

I wish MT would redo the tooling on the 60' Hy cubes, or another mfg fill the large void. ER is doing another Hy cube in HO but none in N yet.

Yup. 60' hy Cubes major hole in N scale.
-
I just emailed a suggestion to Exactrail for 60' Hy cubes let's see if they offer hope in their response if they respond :D

I did the same a few years back.
