Title: New Atlas Catalog is up.

This could be a first, nothing for me for the rest of the year. :|

Curious that they're doing 'Alternative History' cars before doing all the original owners on the 1932 box car.  :?

Does anyone know the story with the PC centerflow?

I didn't realize they had those cars, or is that also an "alternate history" car?

I think the PC car is.. sorta correct.. there are a couple of shots of High CUFT ACF 4 bay grain hoppers in the Morning Sun Conrail Freight car book.. Also one of the Ethanol plants in Iowa was using CR/PC/NYC hoppers of this type for their DDG loading.

I think it's close enough body type.. expanding on the old ACF tooling where they did NYC and Conrail Malt loading schemes.. This body style is closer to correct than the old version.  (Well by closer to correct.. I mean Grain gates and top hatches instead of pellet)

I hope they expand on these schemes.  (I think Chessie was another road to have lots of these.)

PRR Alternate History scheme? My curiosity is piqued. Any photos of what this scheme looks like? @Atlas Paul , @Cory Rothlisberger ?

I see a lot of 20700 gallon tank cars being added to my fleet, along with a few other things the WM 40' boxcar being one. 8)

A Union Caboose, thank you Atlas. Although not 100% accurate, they have been added to my list.

Oh my, finally!   :D :D :D

[attachimg=1]

Atlas is doing another run of the BN rotary flag triple hopper...one of the most prolific and ubiquitous freight cars in North America over the past 30 years.   (Sure, it's a Trainman car and not an exact prototype by any means, but sort of "all we got" in N...along with the sporadic MTL releases.)   The car they swear doesn't sell well, yet never lasts more than about 3 weeks "in the wild" after release, (of which there have been exactly TWO in the 17 years I have been back in N-scale) and is hardly ever seen at shows or on eBay.    I wish they would dump their excess at clearance prices, yet I've not seen that either....guess they just throw 'em in a pile and set them on fire.

I see four tank cars joining the fleet, almost doubles how many I have.

1970's tank cars aren't really common models.

I also get a chance on some boxcars I missed the first couple rounds before.

Did some quick perusing of RRPicArch... just to see if any of the 5x00 series cars would be of interest.   Figured I'd share.  Some of the pics may not be exact numbers or even exact cars.  Try to get the closest in the number series.

Not an alt hist whatever that means, not sure how accurate (don't think the Atlas car has that horizontal rib):

C40-8W and SD60M will be joining my fleet. Cory or Paul, did you fix the size of the Conrail cab numbers on the 60M? They were way to small in the initial run.

The GATX 20.7k tank is always on my list. Good to see them again. Too bad the 17k tank schemes are too new for me.

And how about that for turn around time on the trailers! We talked about that only 2-3 months ago. Several will end up in my fleet. Can't wait for the 48' vans next.

Oh crap! I thought that was just the ACF car and glossed over it. Tons of RBOX cars for me. I hope they follow up with the ABOX version as well. Not that I ever had an issue with the MDC/Athearn cars. More is always better.

Wish they would do a Berwick though.

Looks like one of the three Pennsy cars is accurate and the other two numbers were added to give modelers an option to buy more. Better to be told up front than to find out after you've purchased the cars.

I may be in for a Belt Railway VO-1000.  Have noted that paint scheme becoming more popular.  Perhaps more urban switching layouts in N scale because you can make the buildings in a realistic proportion?

I don't know, I've never really considered the BRC an "industrial switching" road. Did they do much carload business? I guess they did, but to me, the BRC has always seemed like a yard to yard operation.

Now, if you're as big of a fan of yards and yard work as I am, then it IS indeed an excellent prototype. Hmm...

As-built scheme, 1948 through 1955 or so.  Most of the NE6 class was repainted in the New Image schemes beginning in 1955, but some retained their original scheme.  All of the schemes except for the all-red with white block herald and lettering are pre-1960.

I renumbered one of the original releases when I retired my scratchbuilt fleet of NE6 cabooses and that's the one I run.  But I do have all of the stock releases.  I believe these will increase the count to six of the As-Built scheme.
