Some more Pennsy awesomeness arrived in today's mail! These are BLI PA/B with sound that were on clearance at Factory Direct Trains. The FGE reefer was an eBay find and it matches a car at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.  I'm hoping to pick up 3 more road numbers of that reefer in the new release.



Here the Alcos are earning their keep already on the Standard Railroad of the World at Spruce Creek, PA meeting a westbound M1b.



Lastly some video.  Yeah, I know Alco PAs didn't usually haul the 1949 Broadway set, but Rule #1, yo.

Still working through my massive inventory of Trainworx truck parts. 
I have 3 of these painted up so far, but only one fully assembled. 
The Weyerhaeuser decal on the door is thanks to @peteski and his talents with the Alps.
Oh, and if  looks closely, he can see that I hollowed out the bell on the horn but the benefit:labor ratio is minimal.

Got my 00-90 flat head screws today for my coupler pockets and they create more problems than they solve under the current design.    Not sure the exact direction to go but it will be a good project to sleep on.

Love it - definitely a Western Washington must have for any 60's-80's layout

The truck looks good Bryan!
Looks like I could have tried to make the logo a bit darker to match the hood (but I didn't have a paint chip on-hand).

The drilled out horn looks good too.  If you have dozen trucks to do that wouldn't be worth the effort, but if it is a highly-visible model in the foreground, or a presentation piece then I thin it is worth the effort.

For tasks like that I first drill small center hole then use a 1/8" single-flute countersink bit. single-flute gives me excellent control and it stays centered, plus few different angles are available.  It is specifically made for this type of a task.

A few finishing touches to the new Dairy Queen at Oakville.  I'm particularly pleased with the lights in the parking lot and the shrubs around by the drive through...

Phase 1A (Ground cover) is complete. Phase 1B (ballasting) is underway. Mainline (since these photos were taken) and industrial complex are finished. Now working on ballasting the yard.

Not much real modeling, but got a C&O hopper up on shape ways.  I ordered one with all of the HD Acrylic supports still intact, I'm a big fan of this material!

Still working on removing the support system.  It's really very simple, just takes a few minutes.





Here's a finished model in HDA.  IMHO if you take the time to add the grabs and stirrups nothing commercially available can touch what is possible with this material.

Yeah, it wasn't that hard to do but I just don't know how noticeable it is.
