Over the past two weeks, I got 4 buildings completed. Two are whole and two I cut-up and made 3D flats.

Conrail N-11 caboose 18564 rolled out the paint shop today.

At least 18507, 18564, and 18469 were repainted with a small logo and had all of their windows covered.

Here' the prototype here: https://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/index.php/photos/cr-18564-class-n11e

Edited to add correct attachment.

That thing must have been so unpleasant in the summer!

I assume that these were intended to be used as shoving platforms before the term was in wide spread use. The lack of Do Not Occupy lettering is interesting.
The fabric of reality has begun to fray.

I spent the balance of the last two weeks trying to dial in a new mix of resin on the 3D printer: 80% Phrozen Aqua 8K + 20% Phrozen Onyx Impact Plus.  A strong yet detailed resin mixture.  Mostly I was successful but I believe I have an issue with the "Wham Bam" magnetic plate where models in the middle/front of the plate aren't adhering.  Or perhaps I need even longer times on the bottom layers?

Well I needed test models and I have this 0-27 Williams GP38-2 that I wanted to repaint in Conrail livery for the Xmas Tree roundy-round, so I drew up some detail parts to print.  I made handrail stanchion covers because the Williams model has cruddy looking stamped steel, un-detailed handrails (although the shell is nicely done IMO);  I also did a Leslie S3L, lift rings, and a cab signal box.  These came out successfully as long as I did them in the perimeters of the build plate..   Finally I applied the parts and primed the shell.  This was a nice break from the T-gauge stuff to be honest!

Shell was soaked in 98% iso alcohol to strip it; Frame + stanchion covers:

New detail parts and old horn.

Primed shell and frame.

Now for some Conrail blue..

Backdrop first pass. Going to cover the bottom layer with the second color and match with terrain cover that the foam is painted.

No, it's my own design. The CMR car doesn't include the distinctive square vent on the side. After seeing the warped and uncured snowplow somebody posted here I'd rather steer clear of their 3D offerings.

Second Pass - Better matching tones, need to airbrush the desert peak on the end and get rid of construction lines. Working on
second bridge in the back.
