I suppose I can fill in some information. I did the masters for both the flats and the trailers back when Alan Curtis was at the helm. The trailers are kitbashes from Walthers container sides and Atlas trailer bodies. The good news is that they come in 36' and 40' versions, needed for the earlier flat cars. They look pretty good, but the Trainworx trailers are outstanding, so maybe don't put them next to each other. They show their 15 year age.It is possible to cut down the Trainworx trailers to 36' from 40', so you can have matching loads. I'm in process of doing that.
@Sokramiketes Apparently the trailer castings are (were?) being done by Stone N scale Creations. I messaged them (email and website form) to order several but no response yet.Any chance your planning to cast your new trailers cut down from Trainworx?I'd like to secure trailers before I pull the trigger on flats.~Ian
No, I don't plan to offer castings. Skytop Models did some, but they are not currently offering their castings either.I decided that I wanted to spend the money to have the 35' match the 40', so I'm cutting them down 1 for 1. That way the finish, and the placards, match.
