A little more on the T1;

1 after 6 hours of breakin running, she creeps along at about 1.5 smph
2 still having difficulty getting it to slow down smoothly  (could be finding and setting the right combination ov CVs) a drop of 7 to 10 on the throttle will drop the speed to almost a stop then it will accelerate to the new speed setting.
3 having trouble backing through Kato #4 switch, picking the points.

I could not get to the top end loading since I have a small test lop, but it will pull the 10 car Kato Broadway Limited train.

So far the only real complaint I have is the lack of programming info, the link on the info card does not resolve to a valid Web site. It may be time for an email or phone call to BLI.

Thank you Point353, I think the tech manual has what I need.  It may take a while for me to comprehend what it is saying.

I don't know why, but I always find factory OEM decoders to be inferior to third-party decoders, especially with regard to motor control.  Frequently, I take out the OEM decoder and install my decoder of choice.  It is a pain, but sometimes it is worth it.

I would try and fiddle with the CVs as much as possible.  If you still have problems with the decoder, I would send it back to BLI for replacement.

I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to remove the tender shell. I removed the four screws from underneath the chassis, but it still doesn't want to budge. Guess I'd better ask BLI for some help.

Glad they made it to market!  They look and sound great!  Were I still "N scale Pennsy on a door" guy I'd be running mine right now at the head end of a Blue Ribbon train.

It’s never too late to change back to the Pennsy (in N scale of course)
