Yes! The last guy really mucked things up so I had to take my cheesegrater to things (just kidding!) Once Cody sends me pictures of how he wants it weathered, I'll weather it!

Yes! She bought a tool shed and we had dinner with @VonRyan in a dark corner, isolated from the group.
It was a lot of fun. The venue and location was great! It was nice not to have to go to Hoss's for dinner, although for those that do, there was one in town.

But to keep things in perspective - I do the electronics but I suck at weathering.

I stumbled across something at the shop while putting away new stock. I have been piecing together an N-scale WWII troop train for quite a few years but got stuck when it came to loads for the flat cars. The only WWII tanks available in N-scale were pewter castings, both expensive and heavy to pull. The set pictured is a "1:144" set from Revell which fortunately is not the correct scale and ends up almost exactly 1:160 (N-scale). They look good, are easy to build, light weight and most important, inexpensive at $10 for 2 Sherman's, 2 Deuce and a half's, and 2 APV's.

That sure is a lucky mistake on Revell's part!

Who is this Rory you speak of? I do hope to start taking videos of the layout at some point but am not set up for that yet.

Thanks, Chris! I have a piece of styrene for the top grill I use as a bending template after they're cut-to-size. I carefully size the opening in the shell for the top grills so they will fit somewhat snug within the opening and so they're flush with the surface of the shell. I then carefully apply some tiny droplets of ACC to a .008" piece of wire and then apply it to the seams in a few spots around the grill. On the front grills, I pretty much eyeball the bends that wrap around the frame after I cut the front grill to size. These are not glued in-place, but rather hold on by the end wraps. I don't always get it right and the ends wraps are sometimes either too tight or too loose and I have to try to fix it start over. For cutting, I actually count-out mesh wires for the top grills now that I know the right amount. The front grills I hold up to the frame, mark and then cut, leaving extra on the sides for the parts that wrap around the frame (I hope this makes sense). It really helps that the two etched meshes I got (Eduard) are almost perfectly sized for both applications.

I ordered 6 more kits for the store. I need 2 more to make a reasonable troop train. (6 M4's on 6 flats, 3 flats with 2 Deuce's each and 3 flats with 2 APV's each along with roughly 15 MTL troop sleepers and kitchens as well as some other support cars)

They are sprues out of a 1/144 LPV kit. They come as a troop load for the landing craft. They also offer a WWII German 6 piece set similar to this one.

That's the same kit,  The ebay link I provideed has them for $7.95 +$1.99 shipping and they have 34 available.

The APV is a M8 Greyhound armored car. That's a nice set, and a good find.
