Since I have a bit of a modern design bent . . . . and we can use what we got . . . . and i have some really old out of scale containers . . . . I think i'll do something like this:

No wonder Lee came up with this contest, he was already 75% complete with project when he posted it.    :D

Might have to try my hand for something I need on my paper mill .  Have to see if I can get creative juices flowing...

Working on the old tipple; removed the front and removed the extra section across the top with the windows. Next added the expansion walls...

I have so many bits and pieces and parts and kits I opened and jumbled together... Maybe I could actually make something worthwhile from some of it.

Got the roof on and then started matching up the support braces on the tipple with the new part. I know the tipple is supposed to represent a wooden structure, but I think it will blend and appear to be metal after I paint it.

This got me inspired to dig through my multiple part boxes. Found multiple pieces from a couple Heiljan kits from my first layouts in the 1980's mixed with leftovers from my last project. This will give me a four-story brick warehouse backdrop building for my "East Portland Warehouse Co" which will have a different architectural style than the surrounding structures. While digging in my box of junk found a couple loading docks for current projects...figure that!

Ah... the old Heljan roundhouse kit!  I used it for my 12x12 modeling challenge several years ago...

A little inspiration for you.

While we imaging around for parts for the tipple upgrade, I found these two wall scraps from a Life-Like kit:

A little cutting and glue yielded this:

I'll go back in and fix those corners add a roof and some paint.

I wanna play! I can't upload a picture of my scrap box or a link, I get the error message that the upload folder is full.  I have some old IHC townhouse parts and Model Power farmhouse parts.
