Just got my issue today -- outstanding contribution to the literature Max!

I was also quite intrigued by the Elmhurst club's touch screen control article - brief as it was - but I'll start a separate thread on that.  All in all, an interesting issue.

Congrats, Max!

And I received the neolube yesterday. Thanks for making it available.

Hmm... and as expected,
Kiz got some neolube
on his finger... Klutz!...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Well, I don't consider my SP&S Atlantic exactly a work of art...  I promise you I don't put all those hours into an engine unless I run it   :)

Loan my Atlantic to Victor?   Sorry Victor.  You're a nice guy and all, but....   :P

for you Max,
it is a satisfying model to use to haul cars.

should it ever be at my home... NO ONE except me will touch it.
because I know I will not be able to reattach a detail if it should get mangled.
and I will not want to re-build bearings or gears or motors.

... plus it is so pretty!

thus... Art.

so it will run, just on very special occasions.

I just receiver (my final) MR issue and I skimmed over the contents. Max, the article looks great. I remember following (and participating in) the original TRW thread.  I also noticed that your article was in the centerfold of the magazine (if that makes any difference). It probably means that they had no centerfold-worthy photos for this issue.  :)

Just got mine today here in SoCal. Great publicity for N scale, and a great reflection on your skills, Max. Congratulations,
Otto K.

:|      Congrats Max ! I just received my copy today and just skimmed through it. Now to read the article tomorrow, when your build was first being posted here I really enjoyed every step in the process and all the photos. If I were still able to do precision with shaky hands and going vision at my senior age I too would make my locomotive to be operated on my layout not just a display queen. Nate Goodman (Nato).

Thank you again, to all of you for being so kind, and for encouraging me when I was building it.

I'm responding to Otto's post here because of what he said about great publicity for N Scale.
Yes indeed, that was a strong motivation for me wanting to see if I could get this piece into
MR.  I want N Scale models to be seen in the larger model railroading world, and as models,
not just "N Scale models".
