No Conrail  :D

Maybe next run. No road names for me this run either, but still excited. Will probably get an IC&E just because.

No MoPac? No IC? No Southern? No KCS?

Hmm... why bother...?

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Maine Central would have to be Pan Am Railways.

They already did CN, long ago.  I'm happy.

Hopefully the detailing and execution of these models will live up to expectations.   I was not a fan of the wheelsets on past IM locomotives.

So...
-Guess we assume this is the same mech as the Canadian SD40-2W's they did?   :?
-...which is basically an Atlas SD60 frame/mech...right?  :|
-Reckon the Dash-you-know-what from you-know-who's you-know-what-Project will be here before Atlas code 55 turnouts?

Seriously, for those who bought the SD40-2W's, how are they....detail and running-wise.  I bought a shell cheap off eBay to swap with other SD40-2 shells for pool/run-through power, but it won't fit any Kato mech I have. (early or mid-pro)   I don't really know how it holds up proto-wise but I figured there wasn't gonna be another Canadian proto roll through again anytime soon....figured it was good enough for a "visitor".  (there's a surprising amount of Canadian power running through north Texas)  So, I'm banking on it fitting something from the "Dash 2" project, or if the IMRC is close enough to some specific prototype with black trucks/fuel tank maybe I'll pull the trigger....if the IMRC's are worthwhile.

I did NOT like my tunnel motors that I bought and no longer own...they were too much like their SD60 cousins.   (and, I will say that SOME SD60's seem to run GREAT, but they are just very inconsistent, IMHO)

Wow, even the artwork has the exhaust hatch right against the dustbin hatch... sigh.

For those that don't know, I've been asking IM to fix this error for oh... a decade now (all their -2s have had it)

Does this mean Kato is going to do the Tunnel Motors and SD45-2 ?

Just sayin', it'd only be fair.
I’m not here to argue

Oh god dammit. I was afraid that'd happen.

Guess I should see if Flight2000 still has those undec Katos I sold him.

I'm ok with no Conrail from these guys. If they're anything like their other SDs, these are gonna be fixer uppers, if even that.

I'm hoping I'm pleasantly surprised, but I'm definitely not getting my hopes up. At all.

Yeah, Kato would do one run each, and you'd never see 'em again.

Iowa, Chicago and Eastern, and the GATX are strange choices, bound to gather dust on the shelves I think.   Hard to make everyone happy with eight roads, but UP, ATSF, BN, CSX and NS are smart picks.   CPR would have been a good call given the huge fleet they had.
