Eventhough I am just an a$$hat wannabe, I can send 2 cars if you like, one for some international flaire, a modern french coach, and another full dome, the dome is pre-brass car sides for the GN, but I have not started work on it, so as of now it is still in the SF liverly. Pictures later.

Okay, let's simplify things a bit.  Let's keep it to one car per person, and for those of you that can't make it but want to be represented in the train, we'll need to come up with some sort of accommodation for return postage...  It's great that you all are interested in participating, but it'll cost me a small fortune to mail everything back home...

I'll work on scheduling this in May, some time after the Rail B Q.  That'll give me a chance to get a bit more of the layout to be photogenic.

Let's actually use the calendar function at the top of the forum to arrive at a date that works for everyone... except the calendar appears to be broken...

Old No 3 (sometimes called the White Eagle) has been taken out of storage.  Car has been around probably longer than some of you have.  Belongs to a private online shipper (that's my story and I'm sticking to it).

Sounds good, the big question is would you rather have the full dome, or the SNCF coach from me?  8) Flat rate boxes work the best for me, I could put a check in with the coach/dome to cover return shipping, and even do the customs form, all you will have to do is sign it, and drop the whole thing back in to a flat rate box and ship it back here.

As I understand it the "LV private car" is the cleanest open hopper in the yard at the time President Lee needs to take a ride...................... ;D

I've got a WM car (see the earlier photo), but it's not accurate in the least, and it needs lettering.  I have a Laurel Valley car, too.



It's an old Trix/Model Power car... I'm thinking about getting one of them snappy new MT observation cars, though...

The SNCF car sounds like fun if not a bit "international"...  But heck, if we can let the Canadians through the gate, why not the French!?!

At this moment, the power will be a matched set of A-B-B-A F-7's.  I'll have to whip up a steam generator car, though!

Well after the French finished their cheese and wine, the decided it would be best to send a First Class coach. ;D They retrofitted the coach with AAR Type "H" couplers, and installed convertors to allow the french coach to opperate on the US electrical systems. 8) Here is the coach being moved to start it's long journey!



Seriously though, most European stuff still uses rapido couplers, I changed mine out with an MT/rapido conversion on one end, and a fixed knuckle on the other, because I ran out of MT/rapido conversions. it should be good to go now. It takes packages about 10 days (sometimes more) to get back to the states from here by APO, so just give me enough time to get it to you. PM me your address also.

I think scheduling for after the picnic would be best, because that would allow those of us that are planning on attending to bring the cars in person.  As for shipping costs, I was planning to pay to get my car both there and back.  I'm flexible on timing, I just need to know when!

The end of the train will be reserved for the home varnish, whatever form that takes.  I'm still plugging away at getting the track laid, so we're definitely looking at May.  Thanks again to everyone for your interest

The blue observation car was done back in the 70’s when I first developed the idea of the Danville and Rigby Junction RR.

The green car is a definite fantasy car…. Representing a car inherited from one of the “lesser” Maine roads (Bangor Southern... locally known as the "BS RR" ;D )as the D&RJRR grew!  Bashed from leftover pieces from a bunch of 70 ft B&M coach bashes I did  8 or so years ago.
