Private Car Round-up

Since it appears the DMV Chapter of a$$hats anonymous (aka the Railwire) will be assembling a private car train to tour the Western Maryland in Cambridge, MD in the somewhat distant future(http://therailwire.net/forum/index.php/topic,23457.msg226685.html#msg226685), how about we all put our private car pics here, so that Lee can get a good count and prepare suitable motive power.

Regular crew, of course, will receive preference, but I like this idea.  The first thing I'll have to do is make sure passenger cars will navigate some of my rather snug geometry.

It'll give me an excuse to get cracking on the old Potomac Project.  Nothing says "special train" like a big old 4-8-4...
Might need to whip up a new Laurel Valley office car, too.  That new MT observation is mighty tempting...

Hmmm..... will have to decide who to send.... the "classic" Canadian Pacific Puddington Valley Division Superintendents car; the "William W. McGrattan"...

or the "new", still in the shops "New Image" PVR business car.............

Decisions, decisions..............
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

If there were any interest, PRR management might be convinced to ship over a lounge.

If any of these would be useful, I have two C&O 10-6 sleepers (tri-color), two C&O coaches (tri-color) and one PRR 10-6 sleeper (stainless with black roof).  Let me know, this is a cool idea.

By the way, what's the motive power?

Dave Foxx

P.S. This might even be better on a BANTRAK layout where the train could really stretch its legs!

How about some original Norfolk Southern varnish?

I've got this thing drawn up and ready to etch; just need to do it.  Not quite private, but fancy enough to suit.

Seems like Lee might need two special order movements when all this comes together - one steam powered, the other diesel . . .

Iain, those would probably sell pretty well of you made enough of them . . .

I'm liking this! Might have to cook up a BYR business car!
