On August 14th, 2008, the CRHS was permitted to access Conrail's (formerly PC/PRR) Ore Pier 122 in Philadelphia, PA. We were allowd on the property to inspect the equipment and save anything of Conrail Heritage. Here are some pictures from that trip.

It was a very good trip, and we hope to get back again some time soon. I wouldn't recommend going there on your own though. We had permission to access the structure this time through a contact with the Port Authority. Generally this area is patrolled by Port Authority Police and you would definately be arrested.
Here is a neat video of the pier in operation:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEAUFP3bPjU

Just so happens that going over some of my old mags I came across the Rails Northeast Feb 1980 issue.  Has track diagrams of Greenwich Yard (1951) and lots of photos. Also has some photos from 1979 of GG1 in the dead line at Wilmington.
Ed - I'm saving this for you and when we can hook up at Timonium, it's yours.
