Briggs Models is currently working on etched detail sets to compliment our N scale RS-18/CRS-20 series kits (NP-6/7 & NP-15/18). Price will be $20 (Canadian) each and there will be enough parts to detail one locomotive. As an added bonus you will receive 10% discount on any other items you purchase at the same time as the frets.
If there is enough interest, we will also do the set in HO at a price of $25 each. The HO set will only include handrail stations and not the entire handrail assembly.
If you have an interest in purchasing these sets please contact me at chrisd@briggsmanufacturingassociates.com.
The sets will include;
Set A for 601-604
Side handrail assemblies and stanchions for 601-604
End handrail assemblies and stanchions for 601-604
Top radiator screen
Windshield wipers
Door handles
Grab irons for front and rear of hoods
Sunshades
Sinclair antennas
Wind deflectors
Set B for 605-630
Side handrail assemblies and stanchions for 605-630
End handrail assemblies and stanchions for 605-630
Top radiator screen
Windshield wipers
Door handles
Grab irons for front and rear of hoods
Sunshades
Sinclair antennas
Wind deflectors

Chris

Set A is the early deck mounted stanchions, correct for CP and CN units. I believe Cartier also had the later side sill mounted units as in Set B.

Does this include the CP 87xx series that were modified into RS18u?
Specifically for these two units:

Hi John
Set A is close but the handrail shapes on the end pilot and behind the cab are not correct for these units.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Chris
