MRC Sound decoders for Intermountain F units

I'm hoping that by this generation of MRC board that they've worked out some of the kinks...  This apparently these are drop in replacements, and have those micro speakers.  Sounds like it might be worth a gamble to try one.  Any thoughts?

At the St. Louis Gateway operating session on friday night, one of the guys brought in his L&N FP7/F7B combo's with the MRC decoders in them. They performed very well!
