Well, I had no idea Z scale locos are that smooth.  I had imagined jack rabbit starts that would prevent switching.

Conditioning of early N, looks like. Z enjoys the benefit of N's advances: can motors + PWM throttles = Z scale switching.

I actually can switch a little smoother. I run dcc and use the momentum feature to smooth out the stop and go.  I think Frank runs dc.

That 35 creeps so smooth , and over a turnout no less . It's the best I have ever seen in any scale . There is no reason a manufacturer couldn't re-truck that mech for a N Scale SW-1 or HH-600 .

lots of pain in my hand from hand crushing different materials so they look good in Z up close.
